Congratulations! You've been accepted. Now what?
Okay, you’ve been accepted. Now what?
- First you should attend an admitted student day. (choose from Mar. 5, Mar. 26 or April 9)
- Return the new student deposit form and $200 tuition deposit.
- Send in your housing contract and $100 deposit (due by 5/1) to save your spot in a dorm room.
- Send in your health information forms (due 7/15)
- If you haven’t already, fill out FAFSA (due date 3/1 and our Title IV Code 002051). Check out the financial aid web site for a listing of all other required forms, including our application.
- Visit with a faculty member in your major.
- Sit in on a class.
- Attend one of the summer orientation programs.
Note: deposits are refundable with written notice to the Office of Admissions by May 1. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Minimum Hardware/Software Requirements
- 1 GB RAM; strongly recommend 2 GB
- 80 GB HD storage; recommend 120 GB
- Pentium 4 or Centrino Mobile processor
- Wireless Adapter
- 2 - USB ports; 1 for printer, 1 for memory key
- CD/DVD ROM drive
- Windows XP or Vista Operating System
- Norton Anti-Virus (Provided by SJC, must be kept current throughout the school year)
- Microsoft Office Professional (Offered by SJC for $20 / Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Extended Warranty - optional, but recommended
Internet connection in rooms Every student room is provided Internet connection.Your computer must have a NIC (Network Interface Card). One of these cards may have come with your computer when you purchased it or you may purchase it elsewhere.
