prospective students

Great place, great people, great education (with 43 majors and partnership programs)! You'll feel welcome here and faculty and students go the extra mile for each other. St. Joe’s magnificent lakeside setting is also close to town, with plenty of choices for stores, salons, restaurants, movies, malls and clubs in nearby Windham and Portland.

We're closer than you think

Yes, we wear winter coats in January, but we’re just two hours from Boston. Amtrak passenger rail service to Boston makes for a fun day trip! Or if you want to get with nature, the ocean is a short drive in one direction, and the mountains are a short drive in the other. Take your pick.

The Portland Advantage

Students eating lunch on the waterfront in nearby PortlandPortland is Maine’s largest city and Outside magazine lists it among its “Dream Towns.” National Geographic Adventure magazine counts it among its “Ten Great Adventure Towns.” SJC students give Portland high ratings, too, as the city serves as a source of internships and jobs, as well as concerts, theaters, coffeehouses, clubs, restaurants, sports, shopping, and more. Portland has it all. Portland was recently voted America's most livable city by Forbes.
