Kathleen Clements

Kathleen Clements, Chair of Elementary Education
Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Clements was involved for more than 20 years in public school teaching and administration, including being a principal and special education administrator.

She currently teaches Language Arts Methods and Writing Methods in the Education Department, in addition to supervising seniors who are student teachers in Elementary Education and those participating in special education internships. She is also the Coordinator of Elementary Education.

Professional organizations include:

  • The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
  • The National Council of Teachers of English
  • The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation
  • The Council for Exceptional Children

Her professional interests include legislation for special education and educational leadership.
