Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/ Teacher Preparation

Requirements l Faculty

The major in Physical Education/Teacher Preparation, approved by Maine Department of Education, allows graduates to stand for certification as physical education teachers at elementary, middle, and high schools. Students majoring in Physical Education/Teacher Preparation study human movement from scientific, sociological, historical, philosophical, psychological, and educational perspectives. Students from states other than Maine should work with their faculty advisor to secure current certification requirements for those states.
