The major in Psychology provides students with a knowledge and understanding of human behavior, mental processes, the emotions, and their physiological bases. Students majoring in Psychology learn empirical research skills and methods. This major is a strong foundation for a professional career or for graduate study. The Bachelor of Arts major in Psychology includes two semesters of foreign language study. Students majoring in Psychology also are required to complete a 20-credit minor in another academic field.
