Debra Riendeau

Debra Riendeau, Assistant Professor of Nursing
Faculty member Professor Riendeau is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with an interest in geropsychiatry. Most of her research has been on depression in prenatal women, which was the topic of her thesis. Professor Riendeau is particularly interested in online education. Prior to teaching at Saint Joseph's, she taught two years in online education at Washington State University. During her free time, she loves to travel and enjoys alpine skiing, hiking and camping.

Professor Riendeau is a Certified QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor and lectures on suicide prevention. She is also the founder and principal the consulting/education company RN INNOVATIONS LLC.

"Advanced Practice," in NSNA Imprint magazine, January 2007.

"New Technology Applications: Thrombolysis of Acute Deep Vein Thrombosis", in Critical Care Nursing Quarterly (2006), 29 (4), p. 312-325, a collaborative article with SJC nursing professor Gail Marchigiano and Carol Jo Morse of Maine Medical Center. It researches new treatments of deep vein thrombosis in the acute and critical care settings. The article also is available to nurses for continuing education credits.
