The World Affairs Council of Maine is pleased to announce that two experienced Korea and East Asia diplomacy practitioners, Evans Revere and Brad Babson, will discuss contemporary Korean events. Both presenters have had involvement in the Six Party Talks and will provide a behind the scenes update.

Evans Revere is a career US State Department diplomat and one of the Department of State's most senior Asia experts. He is currently on assignment to the Council of Foreign Relations, where he is the Cyrus Vance Fellow in Diplomatic Studies. He most recently served as Acting Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs.

Bradley O. Babson is a consultant on Asian affairs (present concentration on North Korea and Northeast Asia economic cooperation, as well as Southeast Asia) who worked for the World Bank for 26 years before retiring in 2000. His assignments included being the first Resident Representative to Hanoi, Vietnam from 1994-97 and then Senior Advisor in the office of the Regional Vice President for East Asia until retirement.

This is an an information session on law school and the admissions process at Maine Law. She will speak about appropriate undergraduate preparation for law school, as well as the admissions requirements and what to expect during the first year of Law School.
 
This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the law school admissions process, as well as about Maine’s only law school. The University of Maine Law School is considered one of the best small regional schools in the country. And is interested in attracting students from St. Joseph’s College.
