General comment/favorite aspect about Saint Joseph's College of Maine
If you are in doubt about Saint Joseph's College, just visit the campus! I have yet to meet someone who didn't feel at home here.

What do you enjoy most about being an admission officer at SJC?
I love being part of such a major milestone in a student's life and helping them explore all the different options that higher education offers.

Best advice to students as they conduct their college search
Be realistic, but aim high. Don't rule out a school because you think it is too expensive or your SAT's aren't quite high enough. Take a chance and you may be surprised at the results.

Suggestions for interviewing
Speak up! There is no right or wrong answers. The point of an interview is to get to know you, we don't want to do all the talking.

Most rewarding academic experience or influential teacher and why?
There were two classes/teachers that stood out to me in college-both very different. The first was Ecology and the Environmental Challenge, taught by Dr. Mark Green. He was so passionate about the subject and had a way of bringing the information to life. He made me realize that everyone has an impact, and we need to decide what we want that to be.

The other was a business class I took with Prof. Ed Hellenbeck. Again, it was his passion and knowledge of the subject that intrigued me. He also has very high expectations of his students. He brings his best game to class and challenges you to do the same. He has a way of bringing out the best in people.

Why apply to Saint Joseph's College of Maine?
The fantastic faculty and staff, which I am very happy to now be a part of!
