Saint Joseph’s provides a balance of education and values to achieve life goals.

Just a short 10 years ago, Rob Jr., ventured to Standish from Long Island, N.Y., to attend Saint Joseph’s. He had a great experience at the College both academically and athletically which included majoring in mathematics, being a four-year varsity basketball letter player and captain of the team his senior year. Upon graduation Rob was offered the position of Director of Sports Information and Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Saint Joseph’s.

Mr. and Mrs. Sanicola attribute much of Rob’s early success in life to Saint Joseph’s. “As we watched Rob through the years at Saint Joseph’s with the help and care of the faculty, administration, staff and alumni, he matured academically, socially and athletically. We were extremely confident that Rob would have the skills and ability to obtain his life goals upon graduation.”

In his current position as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Athletics Academic Coordinator, Rob’s focus is on more than just perfecting a tenacious man-to-man defense or breaking a full-court press for an easy bucket. It’s about finding the perfect balance between academics and basketball for each and every student athlete. It’s about re-creating and honoring the Saint Joseph’s athletic tradition for each and every team. Most importantly, it’s about helping student athletes attain and realize their life goals, as Saint Joseph’s did for him.
