Each year, significant and generous support for Saint Joseph's College comes from friends of the College. These individuals may not be graduates of the College but they believe deeply in Saint Joseph's mission.

Most are inspired by our Catholic identity and the important role we play as Maine’s only Catholic college. Others have particular academic interests or other College-related interests and are inspired to help bring an idea or project to fruition.

Dr. Robert MacBride, College Trustee

Loyal friend and College Trustee since 1998.

As Chairman of the Institutional Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees, Dr. MacBride understands the importance of charitable giving and the impact it has on the financial wellbeing of the College.

Dr. MacBride has leveraged his gifts over the years by taking advantage of the Matching Gift Program at Prudential Financial. “The Matching Gift Program at Prudential Financial and other corporations is an excellent way of expanding the impact of the personal financial support which Trustees, friends, and alumni can offer the College. In turn, it is a way for Corporate America to support and acknowledge the pro bono work and financial contributions of their employees.”

Dr. MacBride’s committed service as a friend to the College continues to inspire others to give of their time, talents and resources.
