Reginald Hannaford
Chair of Classics and
Foreign Languages

Since 1989 Professor Hannaford has been teaching and sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge of languages with students at Saint Joseph’s.

For over 16 years Hannaford has consistently contributed to the Annual Fund. “Sometimes large, sometimes small, but I always give something every year.”

In addition to supporting the College’s general needs through the Faculty/Staff Annual Fund, Mr. Hannaford has been especially supportive of two areas on campus: the Wellehan Library and the Duclos Lecture Fund for the Classics.

During his tenure at the College Mr. Hannaford has donated over 1,600 books from his private collection to the Wellehan Library. He has also exposed students to the world of scholarship that exists beyond the College Community by co-sponsoring with other departments visiting scholars through the Duclos Lecture Fund who conduct symposia in lieu of formal lectures.
