7/2 – 2009 Men’s Lacrosse Team Awards Announced
STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach Mike Edgar has announced the 2009 Team Awards. Seven awards were given to nine members of this year’s team, which posted a 4-13 record and made an appearance in the North Atlantic Conference Tournament as a first-year member of the league. Anna Gordon STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s College Athletic Director Brian Curtin has announced that Anna Gordon, who has served as the St. Joe’s Women’s Lacrosse Co-Head Coach for the past two seasons, will assume the role as Head Coach of the Lady Monks’ program. Read more

STANDISH, ME – Head Coach Jamie Smyth ’92 has announced the 2009 Softball Team Awards. Six individuals were selected by the coaching staff to receive recognition at the team’s awards banquet on May 23rd. Most Valuable Player, Gold Glove, Most Improved Player, “All Out,” Coaches and Dani Waterman awards were presented. Read more

Second-year student-athletes from all 13 member institutions who hold a cumulative 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average for the 2008-2009 academic school year and are a member of a varsity team are eligible. New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association STANDISH, ME – The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) has released its 2009 All-New England DIII Baseball teams and three Saint Joseph’s players have been honored. Pat Moran ’10 (Winterport, ME/Hampden Academy) has garnered First Team honors as a designated hitter, while first baseman Ben Grant-Roy ’10 (Biddeford, ME/Biddeford) and utility player Chris Campbell ’11 (Rochester, NH/Spaulding) have been named to the Third Team.
