STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference
has announced their weekly award honorees for the March 31-April 6
reporting period and Monks freshman Todd Keneborus (Hollis
Center, ME/Cheverus HS) is the GNAC Baseball Rookie
of the Week.
Keneborus played a key role in the Monks 4-0 conference
weekend as he batted .583 (7-12) with 4 runs and 4 RBI's in the four
games. The freshman outfielder was 3-3 with 3 RBI's in a win over
Emerson on April 5th and 3-3 with 2 runs and 2 stolen bases in a win
over Daniel Webster on April 6th.
Keneborus is no stranger to success on the baseball
diamond. As a senior at Cheverus High School he batted .489 to win
the SMAA batting title. After his senior season, Keneborus was named
to the SMAA First Team, All-State Team, was a member of the West team
in the Maine Senior All-Star Game and played in the New Hampshire-Maine
Senior Game.
The SJC baseball team is currently 11-10 overall and 4-4 in GNAC play
this season.
