STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference
has announced its 2008 Baseball All-Conference Awards and Saint Joseph's
College (23-13, 8-6 GNAC) freshman catcher/third baseman Ian
Lee (Hampden, ME) has been tabbed the Conference
Rookie of the Year.
During the 2008 season Lee was named as the conference rookie of the
week twice and as of April 25th he was the Monks’ third-leading
hitter with a .371 (39-105) batting average. The freshman slugger
has connected for three home runs and driven in 31 runs this season
and has been an integral hitter in the middle of the SJC lineup.
