STANDISH, ME - Monks sophomore guard Alberto Rue (Jamaica Plain, MA) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference 2008 All-Tournament Team.

Rue averaged 11.0 points and made 5 of 9 (.556) three-point attempts in the two Saint Joseph's playoff games against Johnson and Wales University and Emerson College. The sophomore scored 14 points and was 4-6 from downtown in the 79-75 semifinal loss to Emerson on February 28th.

Rue ranked as the Monks' top long distance threat with a 47.4% (55-116) three-point shooting percentage on the season and was third in scoring with 11.6 points per game.
