5/13/09 - SJC Swim Team Announces 2009 Awards
STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College Swimming Head Coach Rick Horr has announced his 2009 team awards. Most Valuable, Most Improved and Monk Awards were presented to individuals on both the men's and women's teams. Read more
3/3/09 – Gajewski Named GNAC Rookie Swimmer of the Year
Hannah Gajewski '12STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced its yearly women’s swimming awards and for the second time in as many years as a league member, a Saint Joseph’s College swimmer has been honored in a vote by the conference coaches. Lady Monks’ freshman Hannah Gajewski (Biddeford, ME/McAuley) has been selected as the 2009 GNAC Rookie Swimmer of the Year. Read more
3/1/09 - Saint Joseph's Places 12th in Men's NEISDA Championship
BRISTOL, RI - The Saint Joseph's College men's swimming team placed 12th in the program's first-ever appearance at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Championship, hosted by Roger Williams University over the weekend. Kevin Towne '12 (Shrewsbury, MA) broke three individual team records at the event, including a 28.05 preliminary time in the 50-Back. The Monks competed in the finals in three relay competitions in the meet and posted a 3:54 time in the 400-Free relay on Sunday. Read more
2/24/09 – Gajewski Named GNAC Co-Swimmer of the Week
Hannah Gajewski '12STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced its weekly honors, and Saint Joseph’s freshman Hannah Gajewski (Biddeford, ME/McAuley) has been named as the Co-Swimmer of the Week. She shares the honor with Saint Joseph College (CT) sophomore Sarah Wheeler (Winchendon Springs, MA). Read more
2/23/09 - St. Joe's Places 17th at New England Regionals
DARTMOUTH, MA – The Saint Joseph’s women’s swim team completed the 2009 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship with 99 points for a 17th place finish. The Lady Monks advanced to the finals in 16 events and broke five team records at the event, which was hosted by UMass-Dartmouth. Keene State captured the title for the second consecutive title with 910 points. Read more
2/21/09 - Lady Monks Break Two Records at New England's
DARTMOUTH, MA - The Saint Joseph's 200-Medley (2:05.62) and 800-Free (8:41.72) relay teams set new program records on day two of the New England Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. St. Joe's sits in 17th place with 67 team points through 17 events. Day two results - Standings
