Coach Lewis and Co-Head Coach Anna Gordon will be heading up the 2008 Women's Lacrosse team for it's inaugural season. Lewis has been the Field Hockey coach at Saint Joseph's for three seasons.

Coach Lewis is a native of Jamaica, where he began his illustrious career in field hockey and soccer. While in high school in Jamaica, he represented his country nationally in both sports. During his senior year, he played and coached his high school team through a winning season at Cornwall College High School located in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Coach Lewis graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1984, where he then went on to hold the position of Assistant Coach for Field Hockey from 1984 to 1991 and proved instrumental in helping the Field Hockey program to get to their first NCAA Division III national tournament.

Rupert brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to the program which will successfully improve the student-athlete's knowledge and understanding of the game.

In addition to coaching lacrosse and field hockey, Rupert is a nationally-licensed soccer coach and has played semi-professionally in Massachusetts where he made the All-Massachusetts Select Travel Team. Coach Lewis was also the Assistant Coach for the University of Southern Maine's 2004 Men's Soccer Team.

Coach Lewis has a distinguished and winning soccer resume as well, and has been named to the NCAA Division III All-State and Regional Teams, as well as receiving Honorable Mention for the All-America Collegiate Team. Rupert has played and coached for a number of southern Maine summer soccer teams, winning both the Division I and II leagues numerous times. He also coached the 2003 U-14 Boys Premier Club for Maine Metro in Portland, Maine.
