Centennial Gala

Celebrating 100 Years of Mercy Education

The signature Centennial event for the College, the Centennial Gala, is being held on October 13 at the Sable Oaks Marriott in Portland. Our new President James S. Dlugos will be our keynote speaker and he is looking forward to welcoming alumni, friends, corporate partners, faculty and staff and the community to our celebration.

Attendance

This event will be $50 per person to attend, with cash bar. Dress will be cocktail attire.

President Dlugos

Dr. Jim Dlugos is the 14th President of Saint Joseph’s College, and began his tenure on July 9 of this year. He comes to Maine from New Jersey, where he served for the past seven years as Vice President of Academic Affairs at College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown.

President DlugosDr. Dlugos is a graduate of Boston College, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English. He received a doctor of Philosophy in English from the University of Virginia. Early in his career, he joined the faculty of Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, and later served there as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty.
