A Centennial is a special time: to celebrate our past, celebrate our present, and look to the future as our institution grows. Since 1912, Saint Joseph's has blossomed from just a few faculty and students in a portion of Saint Joseph's Academy in Portland to a vibrant institution serving students of all ages. It is an education rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy. It is a wonderful journey that we have all traveled together. The campus community is invited to join us in celebration!
Share memories of the people you met, friends you made, or the impact the Sisters, faculty, staff or advisors made in your life.
Submit your photos of your time at Saint Joseph's College to be shared online.
Donate your mementos of Saint Joseph's to the college's archives, as collected by Sister Mary George O'Toole'51, Hon. '90. Please contact Sister directly (mgotoole@sjcme.edu or 207-893-7708) about your contribution.
Attend one, or more, of the Centennial-themed events: the college has planned academic, social, and community commemorative events both on and off campus.
Attend a Monks sporting event. During the Centennial year of 2012, all student-athletes will wear a patch on their uniforms celebrating the college's 100 year history. There are many successful athletic programs at Saint Joseph's, and your support of each contest adds to the spirit and a winning team.
Become involved! One of the best ways to celebrate the growth of our Saint Joseph's community is to support its future.
Volunteer! Through the Campus Ministry Office on campus or Catherine's Cupboard.
Donate! The future of the college depends on each of us. Your financial support will ensure that future generations have the opportunity to experience the benefits of a Saint Joseph's education. Please consider making a special gift during this memorable Centennial year.
