Acadia Insurance is seeking an HR Intern.

This internship will provide valuable, real-world experience to an interested student, as well as provide the Human Resources team with additional administrative support. Candidates should be current students in a human resource curriculum who plan to pursue a career in HR.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Compensation/Salary administration
  • Performance appraisal tracking & reporting
  • Recruiting support and applicant tracking
  • General HR Reporting (turnover, staffing, etc.)
  • Policy and procedure administration
  • Maintaining employee files
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Junior- or senior-level college student seeking a degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Prior HRIS database experience is a plus
  • Understanding of current employment legal requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced-level Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality or sensitive information
  • Previous experience in HR is a plus

Scheduling: An ideal intern would be available to work 15-20 hours a week, Monday-Friday between 8:00-4:00 P.M. Specific scheduling is flexible.
