Agency partners with Bon Appetit at Saint Joseph’s College to offer affordable meals to senior citizens

Southern Maine Agency on Aging and Bon Appétit at Saint Joseph's College have partnered to provide more affordable meals to senior citizens in Standish, Windham and surrounding towns. Through the agency's "As You Like It" program, seniors can enjoy discounted tickets when dining at Café Bon Appétit on campus. As the college's food service vendor, Bon Appetit offers a wide variety of nutritious food with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Healthy cooking techniques, local purchasing and seasonal ingredients are a mainstay throughout the café kitchen.

The new partnership will provide "a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for seniors, while bringing young and old closer together," says Stuart Leckie, general manager of Bon Appétit. For more information, contact Stuart Leckie at 893-6683 or sleckie@sjcme.edu.
