This position will be based in our Portland, Maine office. As a member of the advisory team, initial responsibilities and requirements will include:

Core responsibilities:

  • Assist more senior management consultants in the analysis of client data, issues, and environment to provide support in the development of recommendations through documented deliverables.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities in the client’s operational and IT environments and report to more senior management consultants.
  • Collect project requirements and data from the client and summarize findings based on analysis and analyze complex problems applying knowledge to real-life scenarios.
  • Through experience and working with the rest of the consulting team, learn industry best practices and apply learned knowledge to client engagements.
  • Interview clients, perform walkthroughs of business processes, and document quality work papers to support audit and consulting conclusions.
  • Performs tests of control to verify/validate findings and develop corresponding recommendations for client consideration.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned work including on-time delivery, content, and presentation.
  • Act as a team player within both the client and BNN environments, working collaboratively with a wide range of contacts, including clients and third-parties.

  • Proficient in Microsoft products including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project
  • A four year degree with Accounting and/or Computer Science classes required, a Major in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Computer Science or Information Technology strongly preferred.
  • Interest and aptitude for information technology, including databases, communications technology, and computer/ network operations.
    • This work requires frequent travel (approximately 40%) to client sites in Northern New England with additional travel as needed.
