Challenges for 21st-Century Law Enforcement: Perspectives from Local Leaders

Leaders from southern Maine’s most prominent law enforcement agencies will explore the issues facing the communities they serve and the organizations they oversee. They will share their experiences on topics such as budgets and spending allocation, leadership, community policing, diversity and advances in technology. The discussion will end with a Q & A session.

Panel participants include:

  • Chief Edward Googins of the South Portland Police Department
  • Sheriff Kevin Joyce of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office
  • Chief Michael Pardue of the Westbrook Department of Public Safety
  • Chief Michael Sauschuck of the Portland Police Department.

The event is free and open to the public.
