Saint Joseph’s College and Barresi Financial will co-host a one-day workshop for certified public accountants and other financial professionals on Friday, Sept. 21, at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor. The workshop will provide eight hours of continuing professional education credits toward licensing requirements, including one hour of ethics. The event is part of “The CPA Series,” an ongoing program sponsored by the college.
The workshop will focus on six areas, including retirement, estate planning, health care, ethics, employment/HR and charitable giving. Presenters include attorneys Matthew Raynes, Nat Putnam and Ed Feibel of the Eaton Peabody law firm. Also presenting are Lisa Fraley, Esq., director of planned giving at Saint Joseph’s College and Jennifer Shea, Esq., from Baystate Financial in Boston. Raynes is a labor and employment specialist, Feibel is a retirement plan specialist, and Putnam is an estate planning and wealth transfer specialist.
