The CPA Series at Saint Joseph's College will hold a one-day workshop for certified public accountants on Thursday, May 26, providing eight hours of Continuing Professional Education credits toward licensing requirements, including one hour of ethics. Topics include: Ethics, Eldercare and Estate Tax Issues; New Accounting and Auditing Developments; Impact of New State Laws, and International Tax Issues. The workshop, to be held at the college campus on Sebago Lake in Standish, will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Presenters are hands-on practitioners, including tax attorney Robert Creamer of Pierce Atwood's State & Local Tax practice group; senior audit manager Sarah Belliveau of Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker's Not-for-Profit and Health Care Industry Groups; estate planning attorney Richard Ploss, chair of the Trusts and Estates Group at Preti Flaherty; and federal tax specialist Kris Eimicke of Pierce Atwood's Business Practice Group.
