The CPA Series at Saint Joseph’s College will hold a one-day workshop for certified public accountants and other financial professionals on Thursday, August 22. The workshop provides eight hours of continuing education credits toward licensing requirements in addition to one credit hour of ethics.
The workshop’s theme is Current Topics in Taxation and Personal Financial Planning: Bringing New Solutions to Your Clients. Topics to be discussed are: best practices for qualified plans; S Corp v. LLC; strategies around drawing social security benefits; and personal financial planning.
The workshop will be held in the Viola George Auditorium, Harold Alfond Hall, on Saint Joseph’s Standish campus. It runs from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Check-in and a continental breakfast will occur from 7 to 8 a.m. Registration is $149, and it includes lunch.
