Steven Bridge of Naples, a theology professor and rock-collecting enthusiast, will present "Buried Treasures: Findings of an Amateur Geologist and Gemcutter" on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Saint Joseph's College campus. Bridge will show his collection of minerals and gems, such as tourmaline, amethyst, aquamarine and obsidian. The specimens have been collected from all over the country, but Bridge found many of them in Maine. He will explain what minerals and gems can be found in the area, where to find them and what can be done with them. He will also show fluorescent minerals under black light. The free public presentation is in the first-floor lounge of Xavier Hall. Parking is to the right of Xavier Hall, an older Tudor-style stucco mansion at the rear of campus. 893-7723.
