The Maine Medical Center Research Institute Summer Student Research Program offers undergraduates a unique opportunity to conduct research in diverse clinical and biomedical science fields during the summer months.
During the ten-week program, students participate in mentored, independent research projects either in our state of the art research facility in Scarborough, or working with physicians to impact patient care or the outcome of treatment. Students also attend lectures and workshops featuring topics including bioethics, animal use in biomedical science and scientific presentation skills, as well as the opportunity to attend presentations by guest scientists and MMCRI faculty.
The stipend for the summer internships is $3,500. Students are responsible for their own transportation and housing.
