Managing major change in health care to be focus of third annual Saint Joseph’s College health care symposium in July

Saint Joseph's College will offer it third annual summer symposium, called "Successfully Managing Major Change in Health Care," on July 26-30 at its Sebago Lake campus in southern Maine. Each day of the five days will cover two topics of interest to health administration professionals.

Eleven nationally known health care experts will discuss health care reform with timely topics aimed at chief executives, administrators, hospital department directors, nurse administrators and nurse managers. Topics and discussions include paying for health care, social media in health care, ethics, impact of shifting demo¬graphics, strategic planning, physician relations and workforce issues, rural health care challenges, issues in long-term care, and leadership excellence.

Sponsored by the Graduate & Professional Studies divi¬sion at the college, the symposium offers academic credit or CEUs for non-student professionals.
