Dr. June Marshall of Gorham, an education professor at Saint Joseph's College, has been appointed to a national higher education consortium charged with developing and implementing undergraduate reading curriculums to support the Reading First initiative under the No Child Left Behind legislation. The consortium consists of 15 higher education literacy faculty from across the nation. Marshall's two-year appointment is supported by a grant from the University of Texas. At Saint Joseph's, she teaches children's literature and reading methods with a supervised reading internship.
