Saint Joseph’s College presents Taizé music and prayer service

On Sunday, Nov. 2, Saint Joseph's College invites the surrounding community to explore the Taizé method of prayer and song, which offers a deeply moving spiritual experience through music, silence, prayer and image. Brother John of the ecumenical, international Taizé community in France will talk about how to apply your faith to your life at 7 p.m. in the Heffernan Center, followed by a Taizé service at 9 p.m. in the Chapel.

The Taizé community is known for its music, its ministry of reconciliation and trust, and its outreach to young adults.

Brother John is a native of Philadelphia who joined the Taizé Community in 1974. He has traveled throughout the U.S. for meetings and retreats. His writings have been published in more than 10 languages.
