Dr. Karen Lemke, an education professor at Saint Joseph’s College, will present a “The Titanic: A Survivor’s Story,” featuring her 1986 interview with a child survivor of the ship’s sinking in the North Atlantic Ocean, at the Maine Historical Society on Tuesday, April 10. The Titanic sank 100 years ago in April 1912, and the original interview with the survivor who was 8 years old at the time of the tragedy, was published as part of a Bangor Daily News article. Lemke’s talk is at Noon at the Maine Historical Society, 489 Congress Street, in Portland.
