Speaker to focus on finding job in tough economic times

Need guidance on finding a new job in tough economic times? The Saint Joseph's College career services office is sponsoring a free public talk on Friday, Feb. 11, by Bill Humbert, a national recruiter since 1981 and author of a new book on the necessary steps to getting hired.

Humbert, whose business is called RecruiterGuy.com, has an upbeat and positive approach. "Don't listen to all the bad stats about the employment picture," he says. "Jobs are created every day in almost every town." His book, "RecruiterGuy's Guide to Finding a Job," uses real-life stories and humor, while outlining the key ingredients for landing a new or different job.

Now a recruitment consultant for large corporations, Humbert says his message benefits everyone from CEOs to recent college grads. He will speak on Friday, Feb. 11, at 1:30 p.m., in the Alumni Room of the Harold Alfond Center at the Standish campus. 893-7723.
