Go green, eat local and have fun – all at the Fall Sustainability Festival and Eat Local Lunch on the campus of Saint Joseph’s College on Thursday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Environmentally-friendly vendors and nonprofits will showcase everything from hybrid Hondas to honeybees. The Eat Local Lunch menu features fresh, locally grown vegetables, salads and meats, including many grown at the college itself. Most ingredients are from nearby towns, with the farthest farm just hours away.
Lunch will be served from 11 to 2 p.m., and is $10 all-inclusive for the general public. (Call in RSVP at 893-6684.) Parking is available behind the Harold Alfond Recreation Center at the rear of the campus. For more information, contact 893-7720.
