Reporting Emergencies
Department of Campus Security & Safety is staffed 24/7/365. Emergencies can be reported to the office in any of the following ways:

• X7911 from any campus extension
• 893-7911 from any cellular phone
• Emergency call boxes located at various locations on campus - see information below
• Elevators have direct dial phones to Campus Security

• What you see, heard, or found.
• Exact location of incident.
• The phone number of the phone you are using.
• Details of situation.
• Your name.
• Stay on the line until you are told to hang up.

Emergency Call Boxes
Emergency telephones are strategically located throughout the campus outside of buildings. These highly visible phones allow callers to contact Campus Security & Safety with a single push of the red button. These phones are located in the Alfond Center parking lot, the Ward ballfield parking lot, and outside the following residence halls: Carmel Hall, Cunneen Hall, Currier Hall, Feeney Hall, O'Connor Hall, Scully Hall, St. Joseph's Hall and Standish Hall.

Reporting a Crime, Threat, Disruptive or Violent Behavior
Contact Campus Security immediately by calling 893-7911 from a cellular phone, or extension 7911 from any classroom, office, or residence hall phone.
Furnish any pertinent information:

• Location
• Nature of incident
• Description/identity of those involved
• Whereabouts of perpetrators
• Whereabouts of victims
• Description of what transpired
• Any related information

When reporting an incident of crime on campus, all information will be treated with appropriate confidentiality.  Please identify yourself to Campus Security.  Your identity will be afforded all due confidentiality.  We encourage members of our campus community to report any criminal activity promptly.  Safety and security on campus is a cooperative effort.  You can also click here to report a crime on the Anonymous Tip Line on the website.

Upon receipt of notification of a crime occurring on campus, Campus Security Officers will respond to the scene immediately.  The local authorities will be contacted and Campus Security Officers will secure the area.  The local authorities will take charge of the investigative process, and  Campus Security staff will assist the local authorities.
