The goal of the Saint Joseph’s College grounds and athletic fields
department is to provide a safe, visually pleasing and environmentally
safe and sound atmosphere for all students, staff, faculty and visitors
of Saint Joseph’s College. Groundskeeping hours are 6:30am - 3pm,
Monday through Friday.
Services provided by grounds:
• Waste management – trash collection and
removal
• Snow removal – snow and ice removal during
inclement weather
• Landscaping and maintenance – mowing,
trimming and raking of lawns; irrigation of lawns and gardens; care
and planting of flower beds, shrubbery, grass and trees
• Vehicle maintenance – repair and maintenance
to campus vehicles and grounds motorized equipment
• Road, parking lot, and walkway repairs and maintenance
– corrective and preventative maintenance of these areas across
campus
• Exterior signage – installation of vehicular
and pedestrian signs, banners and barriers
Services provided by athletic field maintenance:
• Maintenance - mowing of all athletic fields
and adjacent areas; aerating and fertilizing all fields; irrigation;
lining of fields for all sporting events
• Waste Management– removing trash from
all fields and dugouts
