Housing and Student Services

On-campus accommodations

Housing is provided on campus in our student residence halls.

Family housing is available in the suite-style halls.

Here's what to expect for on-campus housing:

Off-campus accommodations

Students living off campus must provide their own transportation to and from their classes and make their own reservations for housing.

Off-campus accommodations near Saint Joseph's are limited, but if you prefer to stay on your own, the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce may be helpful. You may contact them at:

Student Services

Dining services
Saint Joseph's food service, Bon Appétit, is committed to fresh ingredients and high quality. We're confident you will find their offerings healthful, delicious, and unlike typical college fare. Meal service is cafeteria style and includes hot entrees, deli selections, a salad bar that includes prepared cold salads, and a dessert and fruit bar.

Students who choose to stay off campus will have the option of purchasing an affordable meal plan from Bon Appetit on the first day of classes.

Other activities
On the weekend, several scheduled van trips will be made to Freeport (home of L.L. Bean and many other shops and outlets) and Portland (restaurants, shopping, art museum, access to island ferryboats). We are also planning some special events, both on and off campus, during your stay. Look for details in your welcome packet when you arrive.

The Alfond Recreation Center offers a wide variety of sport and exercise options: swimming pool, indoor track, Nautilus weight machines, free weights, cardiovascular machines, and basketball courts. The Center is air-conditioned (except for the basketball courts) and also houses lounges and public areas suitable for studying and socializing.

The College has a small beach on Sebago Lake, and wooded walking trails, so prepare to enjoy the Maine summer on your beautiful campus!

Disabilities services

Saint Joseph's College, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, provides accommodations to students who have physical, psychological or learning disabilities. Students who have a documented disability and wish accommodation, are responsible for submitting current appropriate documentation of disability and accommodation needs from a licensed professional to the Accommodations Officer as early as possible before the session begins.

For more information regarding the College's disabilities services, contact the Accommodations Officer at 207-893-7562.
