Do you like sitting by the lake reading a book? Enjoy eating lobster? How about discovering wonderful people who share your interests? You can see why many students choose to take summer courses at our campus in Maine. In fact, you can even start your degree by coming to the summer program!
Some students who come for summer end up coming back again and again, because they so enjoy the face-to-face interaction and find the lovely surroundings conducive to learning – and relaxing. In addition, the summer program brings expanded course offerings and innovative formats, including hybrid courses that combine online and on-campus learning.
“The campus setting is relaxing, the food is great, and the Saint Joseph’s learning environment for adult students is priceless …. The total experience from Saint Joseph’s College has been a life blessing, and I will always be grateful.”
Hybrid courses, requiring just five weeks online and five days on campus, are available to health administration students and nursing students. Hybrid courses start online, then meet face-to-face on campus for five days, and then resume online up until a designated end date. See summer schedule for more information.
Eight of the two-week summer courses for theology majors will not require pre-residency assignments, and you can register for these courses close to their start dates.
A special five-day symposium, Managing the Business of Health Care, will run from July 15 through July 19. Available for non-credit CEU requirements, or with pre- and post-residency work as a credit course toward your degree, this format will feature guest speakers covering a variety of issues facing health care today.
New, exciting courses in our traditional two-week summer sessions include History of the Modern Middle East, Nursing Ethics, Introduction to Gender Studies and Literature of the ’60s & ’70s.
