SJC and CIGNA have updated and improved the incentive points wellness programs for 2013

This year we’ve expanded the programs offered by CIGNA on campus.  They will be providing more opportunities to improve your health and earn points.  The Customized SJC programs and fitness classes will still be available.  Please check out the options and points available to decide which program best fits your needs and lifestyle.

Seventy percent of diseases are preventable. By partnering together we can change unhealthy behaviors and improve health of on campus. Improving your health is the only sustainable way to reduce health premiums.

Please participate in the SJC Culture Audit

What is a culture Audit and why are we asking you to complete this?

  • A Culture Audit helps determine the culture that currently exists within our SJC community.  Surveying your opinions will assist the SJC Wellness Team with providing the programming that YOU want to have as you strive towards your individual wellness.  It helps us identify what keeps you motivated and happy and offers information on areas we can make changes or improvements.

As part of the wellness programming your particpation in the SJC Culture Audit is encouraged.  Individuals who participate in the survey will be entered into a raffle for a$25.00 gift card to Hannaford.  Individuals must complete the survey no later than Thursday, January 31, 2013.

Completing the survey will take only a few moments of your time and we appreciate your honest opinion when answering the survey.  The survey results will be published on the Wellness website once all participants have completed the survey.  No names or personal information will be shared.

SJC/CIGNA Wellness Incentive Web Pages

  1. Log on to myCIGNA.com
  2. Look for the section along the bottom of the screen labeled Earn Points, Get Rewards
  3. Click on Earn Rewards
  4. You are directed to the SJC/CIGNA Incentive Points programming web pages
  5. Begin by completing the My Health Assessment once a year for yourself.
  6. If relevent, have your spouse complete the My Health Assessment annually too.
  7. Choose programs that help you meet your individual health goals.
  8. Earn your maximum 300 points. 1 point = $1 dollar.
  9. All wellness dollars are deposited into your FSA, HRA or HSA Account.

My Health Assessment - This survey is the first step to understanding your current health status and on what areas you may need to focus.

My Preventive Care - This includes your annual visit with your physician as well as some standard screenings that are recommended.  CIGNA provides a form for each of these options that you can take with you to the appointment and have signed.

My Flu Shot - Get your yearly flu shot.  Download the form from MYCIGNA to take to your  appointment to have signed by the health-care professional.

My Screenings - Complete a biometric screening by attending an onsite event.  Screenings include:  BMI, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Blood Glucose, Height, and Waist Circumference. (Off-site screenings can be done as well, but require self-reporting for completion).

CIGNA Health Management Activities - CIGNA provides onsite seminars, onsite programs and onsite coaching throughout the year.  This can be self-reported online. 50 for 2x per year
CIGNA My Physical Activity - This is based on successful adherence to CDC guidelines for physical activity for adultsThis can be self-reported online. 10 per month
