Internet connection in rooms
Every student room is provided Internet Connection. Your computer must
have a NIC (Network Interface Card). One of these cards may have come
with your computer when you purchased it or you may purchase it elsewhere.
We strive to make sure that the connection in every room is wired properly
and functioning. In the event that you are having trouble with this connection,
please call our department at 893-7851 or request service from our
online form.
Lab hours and locations
There are several computer labs located around the campus. They are all
equipped with networked Pentium computers, the Microsoft Office Professional
package, Internet access, many course specific applications and printing
capability.
• The Academic Computer Lab, located in Alfond Hall
on the ground floor, contains 15 computers and is available (except during
class time) from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week.
• The Business Lab is located in Alfond Hall on the
ground floor. It contains 12 thin client workstations and one PC for presentation
use. It is available from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (except during class
times) seven days a week.
• McAuley Foyer in the Heffernan Center contains
(12) thin client workstations and is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
seven days a week.
• The Academic Computer Lab and McAuley Foyer lab
can be accessed at anytime with the assistance of Campus Security.
• The Wellehan Library, located on the second floor
of the Heffernan Center, has 17 thin client workstations available during
normal library operating hours.
Help Desk support in these labs is available during regular
office and evening hours (Mon-Fri 8am to 9pm).
Microsoft Office 2003 CD
The Microsoft Office 2003 CD is available for purchase in the IS Mercy
Hall office for $20.00. The CD may also be loaned out from the library.

PC support policy
Information Systems will make a best effort attempt to resolve any problems
that you may be having with your computer. However, we are not a full
service pc repair shop, and may have to refer you to other sources for
repairs.
