Accessing library resources from off-campus
When accessing the library's research databases and other online resources from off campus, you will be prompted to enter your SJC login.
Online Students - Your SJC login is the username and password you use to login to My Web Services. If you do not know your SJC login, you will need to contact your academic advisor.
On-campus Students, Faculty, and Staff – Your SJC login is the username and password you use to login to your SJC email, Angel, and My Web Services. If you do not know your SJC login, contact the IT Help Desk in Mercy Hall in person, by phone at 893-7851, or by email at helpdesk@sjcme.edu.
Library Card Number
In order to download audiobooks and/or ebooks from the Maine InfoNet Download Library, you will need your library card number.
Online Students - Your library card number may be found by logging on to My Web Services. If you do not know your login, you will need to contact your academic advisor.
On-campus Students, Faculty, and Staff - Your library card number is the 14 digit number starting with 21912 at the bottom of your SJC ID. You may also get your library number by logging on to My Web Services.
Cookies
To access the library's online resources, cookies must be enabled on your computer.
- To enable cookies in Internet Explorer, click Tools and select Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab and Advanced.
- Click the box titled Override automatic cookie handling.
- Click the box titled Always allow session cookies. Be sure that both First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies are set to Accept.
- Finally, click OK on each window. Reload the page in Internet Explorer to make sure the changes have taken effect.
"Page cannot be displayed" error
If a "Page cannot be displayed" error message appears when attempting to login, a firewall may be preventing access. This typically occurs if you are trying to login from a workplace computer. You will need to consult your workplace's information technology department for assistance with firewall issues.
