Course reserves

Reserves are materials selected by faculty as required or recommended reading (or viewing or listening) for their courses.  Course reserves are either in physical or electroinc format:

  • Physical items (books, DVDs, exam copies) are kept on the reserve shelves behind the circulation desk and, typically, must be used in the library.  Students must present their SJC IDs to check out items on reserve.
  • Electronic documents (book chapters, journal articles) may be accessed online via the E-Reserve documents folder in Angel.

Student Borrowing Policy

Students are responsible for items checked out on their cards. Overdue notices are sent via e-mail. Three weeks past the due date, a bill for the cost of the item plus a processing fee will be sent via e-mail to the student and forwarded to the Treasurer's Office. If the item is returned, the student will only be responsible for an overdue fee of $15.00 per item.
