2007 Alumni Reunion Weekend

Mark July 13 – July 15 on your calendar now!

Our alumni have spoken and we listened! We are proud to announce the return of the summer alumni reunion weekend. What better way to enjoy Saint Joseph’s College than with a fabulous weekend on the lake with classmates, family and friends? The 2007 reunion will honor class years ending in 2’s and 7’s but will also be a celebration for all alumni. Housing will be available on campus, and event information will be available in the new year. Mark your calendars and plan on joining us for the festivities!

Come celebrate the following class years:
1947 . 1952 . 1957 . 1962 . 1967 . 1972 . 1977 . 1982 . 1987 . 1992 . 1997 . 2002

Are you in a reunion class year? Would you like to help plan activities for your class during reunion weekend? We are seeking volunteers to assist in planning events and communicating with classmates to make your reunion a success! If you are interested, please call 207-893-7890.

Class of 1966 celebrates 40 years of SJC

Ann Marie Albert, Helen McColough Clauson and Ann Smith brought classmates together on July 22 to commemorate their 40th reunion. The day began with a wonderful brunch, hosted by Ann Marie Albert at her home in Scarborough, and then the group made their way to Standish for a campus tour and wine-and-cheese reception in the alumni lounge.

Class of 1971 comes back to campus for their 35th

The Class of 1971 moved onto the SJC campus for the weekend of August 12 to celebrate 35 years. Reunion chairs Pat Ward-Bailey, Helene Gingras Neves and Jackie Jaskolka LeCompte planned a wonderful weekend for classmates to reminisce and enjoy catching up with one another. Activities included lunch in the Alfond Center, a campus tour, time spent down at the lake, a surf & turf dinner with special guests, a farewell brunch and Mass in the campus chapel to cap off the weekend.

Summer send-off welcomes new freshmen

Gloria Legere Rawn ’83 and member of the Board of Trustees hosted the first Freshman Send-off program at her home in Milton, Mass., in August. Incoming freshman and their families enjoyed a wonderful lunch while having the opportunity to meet one another, hear from current SJC student ambassadors, and discuss the upcoming school year with Vincent Kloskowski ’95, Dean of Admission, and Heather Plati, Director of Alumni Relations. The event was held in conjunction with the new Alumni in Admissions program. The Alumni Office hopes to continue these events for prospective and incoming students! If you are interested in hosting an event or being part of this program, please contact Heather Plati at hplati@sjcme.edu.

Alumni at Fenway Park

One hundred alumni cheered on the Red Sox on July 30, as they took on the LA Angels at Fenway Park. Alumni from Maine rode down to Boston in style on a chartered bus for the popular, sold-out event. They joined other alumni fans from all over New England at Copperfield’s bar for a pre-game party before heading to the game.
