Litigation consultants Kevin O’Brien ’01 and Cherie Fieri ’01 testify at trials around the country on complex issues relating to the health care and pharmaceutical industries. Longtime associates at another legal consulting firm, they recently opened the Chicago office of Resolution Economics, a national firm specializing in providing litigation support for law firms and businesses.
Fieri was halfway through her MBA at the University of Tampa when she realized her on- the-road job made it far too difficult to get to class regularly enough. When she heard about the Master in Health Service Administration through distance education at Saint Joseph’s, she decided to transfer. “It was wonderful for my career,” she says. Now a director with Resolution Economics, she has more than 15 years of experience in the health care industry and focuses on operational aspects of claims submissions and payment practices, along with regulatory requirements and damage analyses. She holds a B.A. in economics from Illinois State University.
O’Brien, a partner in Resolution Economics, focuses on operational, financial and strategic advice in providing litigation support and expert witness services for the firm’s clients. He holds a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University and also earned a master’s degree in systems management at the University of Southern California. The two alumni earned their MHSA degrees at Saint Joseph’s in record time by attending summer sessions to accelerate their studies and thoroughly enjoyed the campus during their time away from the business world.
