The Fund for Saint Joseph’s

Photo of Ed Brozman

Dear Alumni,

This spring you will begin to hear about The Fund for Saint Joseph’s, as we connect with you through letters and student phonathon calls. It is more than a name change for the Annual Fund. As the College has grown, so have our needs for increased annual giving to ensure we meet the educational goals for all of our students, both on campus or throughout the country in the Graduation & Professional Studies division.

The Fund for Saint Joseph’s is that critical piece of annual revenue – gifts from alumni, parents and friends – that bridges the gap between our income from tuition and fees and expenditures required for a firstclass ducation. Robust giving means: more students can get financial aid, more faculty members can attend a conference or do research in their field, more students can thrive because of enriched campus life programs, improved technology can enhance student work, and new course offerings and better communications can keep our online adult learners integrated and connected.

We have also made it possible for you to channel your gift to an academic department, the library or student life, should you have a very personal interest in supporting a particular connection to the College.

Participation in The Fund for Saint Joseph’s is often viewed by foundations and other agencies as an indicator of satisfaction with your college experience. The recent Annual Report you received last month reported our alumni participation at just under 10 percent. This is not an indicator of how alumni feel about St. Joe’s. I know that to be true from the many that I have spoken with over the past two and a half years.

As alumni of Saint Joseph’s, you want the College to continue to grow and excel, because you are proud of your alma mater. We ask you to get involved. One way is to give a gift to The Fund for Saint Joseph’s. Every single gift is important, regardless of the amount.

This spring, our drive for increased alumni participation will focus on your first-ever gift to the College. The second way to help your college is through volunteering. Serve on a reunion committee, become a career mentor, or help spread the word about Saint Joseph’s to high school students or your work colleagues. They are all important.

Lastly, we want to hear from you. Your opinions, ideas, suggestions on any of our alumni programs, the magazine or any aspect of Institutional Advancement at St. Joe’s are important to us.

Thank you for your past support – and to alumni who will participate in the future successes of Saint Joseph’s through their first gift, we hope you will stay engaged and active in the years to come.

Sincerely,

Ed Brozman
Vice President for Institutional Advancement
