Cmdr. Maureen Lancaster Pennington '86, Yucca Valley, Calif., was awarded the Bronze Star in April 2007, in part for improving the supply tracking system for Charlie Surgical Company in Iraq.
Lt. Colonel Konstantine Zoganas '87 of Scotch Plains, N.J., received the Bronze Star and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps on Oct. 21. Konstantine is employed at ESP Incorporated.
Laurie Garcia Murphy '88, Stuart, Fla., co-authored "In the Best Interest of the Child, A Manual for Divorcing Parents," which Hohm Press released on Sept. 1. Laurie has earned her doctorate in psychology.

Lyn Barriere Stevens '90, Camillus, N.Y., is currently the president of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC). Lyn is the associate director of the office of the medical director in the New York state health department's AIDS institute.

Chris Getoor '01, Nantucket, Mass., has received the "Excellence in Environmental Education" award from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs. Chris is currently a fifth-grade teacher at the Nantucket New School in Nantucket, Mass.
Maureen Bertrand '03, Northfield, Vt., has been appointed administrator of the Woodridge Nursing Home at Central Vermont Medical Center.
Mariya Barankevich '07, Windham, Maine, recently worked through her church, the First Russian Baptist Church of Gorham, and with SJC professor Dr. Karen Lemke and her education students, to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for orphans in Belarus. Mariya has raised money and traveled to Belarus with family and church members since 2004.
Joseph Marcello '07 of Hattiesburg, Miss., has been named the director of imaging services at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Joseph is a member of the American Healthcare and Radiology Administration, the American Registry of Radiological Technologies, and the American Society of Radiological Technologists.
