Saint Joseph’s launches online alumni community

Reconnect with St. Joe’s from anywhere!

Ever wonder what happened to your class? How about your favorite professor? Want to know what has changed and what has stayed the same at Saint Joseph’s College?

In the fall, the Saint Joseph’s College alumni relations office will launch a new online community to connect alumni, friends, families, and staff!

What is an online community?
An online community is a website that brings the Saint Joseph’s College alumni and friends together through a secure server, regardless of location. Every graduate of Saint Joseph’s College can register online and post as much information as he or she wants, all under the security of our website.

Why would I want to join?
You will be able to both search for other alumni and post the information that you want to share with other alumni. Alumni will be able to find you through the online directory and contact you by e-mail, phone, mail or live chat, depending on the information you release.

What will I be able to do online?
You can post on message boards, see photos of your classmates and post your own, learn the latest news from campus, and join online groups based around common interests, such as athletic teams, campus departments, majors, or your own personal alumni groups. You also will be able to network and chat online with other community members, find links to the Saint Joseph’s College Magazine, student newspaper, learn about and register for alumni events in your area, find current athletic schedules and campus lectures, search for alumni, update your personal information and more!

What information can my classmates find about me if I don’t join?
If you don’t join the online alumni community, your name and year of graduation will be included as part of your graduating class in the online community, but no contact information (such as your e-mail address, phone numbers, mailing addresses) or other personal information will be available. You decide how much information you want to share. If you do not join the online community, other alumni will not have your contact information.

Who can join?
Alumni of Saint Joseph’s College can join the online community, along with faculty, members of our various boards, Saint Joseph’s College seniors, and parents of current students.

How do I join?
You will soon receive a letter in the mail with your identification number and our web address. To join the Saint Joseph’s online community, you will need to go to the web address with your identification number and follow the instructions to find and verify your name and class year. You can then complete your information, create your profile, and join any groups that fit your interests. This one-time registration process takes only a few minutes!
