SJC Supporting Boston Sports!

Celtics

A sold-out crowd of 75 alumni gathered at a pre-game reception at the Grand Canal in Boston to get fired up before heading to the Garden to see the Celtics defeat the Indiana Pacers in the spring.

Red Sox

The popular alumni Red Sox game was a huge success as 110 SJC Sox fans cheered on Boston as they beat Tampa with a score of 7-1. The group met at Boson Billiards before the game to play pool and socialize before making their way into Fenway Park.

Congrats to the Class of 2008!

Welcome to the Alumni Association!
This spring, the then-seniors gathered in Mercy Hall to hear about the benefits of being an alum, see a demo of the alumni online community – The ROCK, and socialize with one another and members of the alumni staff.

Mardi Gras

To help the Class of 2008 celebrate Senior Week, the alumni office hosted a Mardi Gras party in The Chalet in May. The seniors came dressed for Bourbon Street and partied like it was Fat Tuesday during their last night in The Chalet together.

Educating our future educators

The alumni office and the education department hosted “Reflections on the First Year” program for junior and senior education students in the spring. The program was designed to help give students an inside look at what to expect after they graduate and enter the teaching profession. Panelists, young teachers in the field, shared their experiences and answered questions from the audience on interviewing, classroom expectations, hints on finding jobs, preparing for your first year, and much more.
