College appoints new director of graduate program in education
Saint Joseph’s has named Dr. Thomas Hancock of Casco, Maine, as the
director of its online M.S. in Education program. Hancock has taught at Saint
Joseph’s as an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate & Professional
Studies division since 2002. Previously a program director for many years
at Seeds of Peace and a graduate instructor at Southern New Hampshire University,
he earned a doctorate in education at Nova Southeastern University. He
holds a master’s degree from New Hampshire College and earned his
bachelor’s
degree at Husson College.

Hancock says the master’s in education at Saint Joseph’s helps
professionals move into school leadership, create in-service and staff trainings
at workplaces, and/or have a greater understanding of the essential education
profession. “This online degree fits the student’s work and home
schedule, because we really want to accommodate them rather than requiring
painful sacrifices to reach their goal,” he says.
