Catherine's Cupboard

Catherine's Cupboard is a food pantry located at the Town Hall in Standish Maine. The pantry is open and distributes food to its clients from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm every Wednesday. Volunteers typically arrive at around 5:00 pm to help set up and arrange the food bags. To volunteer, call Rebecca Hilton at 893-7792 or the Catherine's Cupboard line at 893-7790.

Choices Are for Everyone, Inc. (CAFE)

CAFÉ provides community-based services to children who have been diagnosed with mental retardation or autism. Children learn skills surrounding behavior, daily & social living.

PROP

PROP is a private, not-for-profit corporation, established by the federal Office of Economic Opportunity in 1965, and designated by the Maine Community Services Act as a Community Action Agency serving 23 communities in Cumberland County, Maine .

During PROP's first few years, we realized that the major problems of poverty couldn't be solved until the majority of people acknowledged that the problems existed and could not be ignored. We began organizing the poor and the oppressed, working with them to clarify and voice their concerns.
